She focuses her work on energy system modelling and analyses in the support of decision-making in climate and energy policy. She is the project coordinator of LIFE project Climate Path 2050 – Slovenian Path Towards the Mid-century Climate Target. She also coordinated the preparation of expert background documents for the Operational Programme of measures for greenhouse gas reduction by 2020, the draft of National energy programme and other strategic documents. Besides the preparation of projections and planning of measures, she deals with the analyses for monitoring progress and reporting on the implementation of measures, primarily for the ministries responsible of energy and climate. In the past, her research work included the optimisation of systems for cogeneration of heat and power in industrial energy (OSCOGEN project etc.). In the period of Slovenian Presidency of the European Union in 2008, she coordinated the European expert group for future activities within the working group on environment.
