Edvard Košnjek, M.Sc.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. For most of his career, he worked for an electricity distribution company, where he held the positions of Head of Service, Advisor to the Management Board on Technical Affairs and Strategy, Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. Until 2020, he was also an active member of the international association Eurelectric and GIZ Slovenian Electrical Distribution, where he was a member or chairman of the Technical Affairs Group, the ICT Group and coordinated the work of the Smart Grid Group. He joined JSI-EEC in 2020 and is actively involved in local, national and international projects in the field of energy efficiency, energy communities, green technologies, sector coupling, and assists in the preparation of sustainable development strategies for large companies and regional strategic environmental and energy studies. He is involved as a lecturer in the Targeted Training for Energy Management in the Public Sector (within the LIFE IP CARE4CLIMATE project) and in the EUREM International Training for Energy Managers.
